🌞 A Day to Remember: Muirhead Outreach Project’s Family Day at Almond Valley 🌈

What a fantastic day we had with all our wonderful families at Almond Valley for our annual Family Day! From the moment the bus picked everyone up, the excitement was buzzing and it only grew as we travelled together, ready for a day full of fun, laughter, and connection.

The sun was shining, spirits were high, and we kicked things off with a big group picnic. With 65 adults and children we took over the entire picnic barn, sandwiches and sausage rolls were shared and the sound of happy chatter filled the air. It was the perfect start to a day of adventure.

After lunch, families set off to explore everything Almond Valley had to offer - and there was so much to see and do! The huge wooden fort was a massive hit, especially with staff members Ainsley and Janine, who couldn’t resist joining in the fun and racing down the chutes with the kids. Their laughter echoed across the site!

The animals were a delight for all ages, and the bouncy pillows had everyone jumping for joy. Another favourite was the mining and climbing area, where kids (and a few grown-ups!) tested their skills and burned off some serious energy.

As the day wound down, we all gathered back on the bus - a little

sun-kissed, a lot tired and full of happy memories. The journey home was much quieter, with many little - and not so little ones - tired after such a fun-filled day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special. We could not fault the staff at Almond Valley, they were great and so helpful.
