Kylie’s journey with Muirhead is nothing short of inspiring. From her early days as a volunteer to her roles as a support worker, manager, and now a dedicated member of the Board of Trustees, Kylie has worn many hats—all driven by one unwavering belief: the work Muirhead does truly matters.

Her passion today lies in staff development and impactful training. Kylie is committed to helping others grow, ensuring that every learning opportunity leads to real, lasting change.

​

But her dedication doesn’t stop at the office door. Kylie has gone the extra mile—literally—completing sponsored walks, running a marathon, and eagerly preparing for a sponsored dance-off in 2026!

​

When she’s not championing Muirhead’s mission or planning the next big fundraiser, you’ll find her nose in a book—always learning, always growing—or out training her mischievous dogs.

Meet Doug – A Steadfast Supporter and Strategic Thinker

Doug joined the Muirhead Board of Trustees at the end of 2022, but his connection to the organisation runs deeper. As a senior manager at Leviton, Doug helped forge a lasting partnership between the company and Muirhead—ensuring their support wasn’t just a one-off gesture, but a sustainable relationship built on shared values. His commitment even inspired colleague Ruth to join the board alongside him!

​

Doug brings strategic insight, business acumen, and a genuine passion for community impact. Under his leadership, Leviton has become one of Muirhead’s most consistent and valued supporters.

Outside the boardroom,

Doug doesn’t shy away from a challenge—he’s gearing up for his second Kiltwalk, raising funds and awareness with every step. When he’s not working or walking, you’ll find him enjoying quality time with his family, taking his loyal labrador for strolls, or following the football (we’ll keep his team a secret to avoid any friendly rivalries!).

Meet Kimberly – A Local Leader with Heart

Kimberly joined the MOP Board of Trustees around a year and a half ago, bringing with her a fresh perspective and a strong desire to give back. After a career change opened up some time, she chose to invest it in something meaningful—supporting local families and learning more about the third sector.

​

As a long-time local businesswoman, Kimberly knows the community inside and out. Her insight into the area and the people we serve makes her a valuable voice at the table, helping to shape decisions that truly reflect the needs of those we support.

​

A proud mum of two, Kimberly balances her professional and trustee roles with a love for the outdoors. When she’s not in a meeting or lending her expertise, you’ll likely find her out in the fresh air—riding her horse and recharging in nature.

​

Kimberly brings authenticity, local knowledge, and a grounded energy to MOP. She’s a trusted guide and a passionate advocate for families in our community.

Patricia Druken is an experienced Chief Operating Officer with over 25 years of leadership in technology and operations across financial services, procurement, and software development sectors. She currently serves as COO for a Scottish-based company developing software for the space sector, where she leads strategic operations and supports mission-critical projects with a focus on innovation, team development, and customer success.

Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, Patricia studied Political Science, Sociology, and Technology before beginning her career in software support in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her professional journey has since taken her around the world — from Bermuda to Singapore, and now back to Scotland, where her son was born. Patricia first moved to Scotland in 2001, and it has remained a special place in both her personal and professional story.

​

Throughout her career, Patricia has built a reputation for shaping high-performing teams, leading with empathy, and delivering operational excellence. At the heart of her work is a deep belief in people — in their potential, their resilience, and the incredible things they can achieve when supported and connected.

​

A collaborator by nature and a builder at heart, Patricia thrives on helping individuals and organisations grow. Her global experience fuels her passion for creating environments where people feel a sense of purpose and belonging.

​

Outside of work, Patricia is an avid traveller and a lifelong learner with a deep appreciation for history and culture. These days, some of her greatest joy comes from cheering her son on from the sidelines at rugby matches, combining her love for the game with her greatest passion — family.

​

Though new to formal charity governance, Patricia has long been committed to community-focused work. She has participated in fundraising efforts to rebuild homes in Nepal following the 2015 earthquake and contributed to initiatives that brought clean water to families in Cambodia. Now, as a trustee of the Muirhead Outreach Project, she is proud to support an organisation whose mission reflects her personal values: connection, opportunity, and building strong foundations for young people to thrive.

Meet Roy – A Lifelong Advocate with a Heart for Community

Roy’s journey in social care began all the way back in 1981, when he took on his first role as a social worker. Since then, he’s built a remarkable career across both the public and third sectors, bringing decades of insight into how systems work—and how they can work better for people.

​

After moving into the third sector, Roy led a local charity supporting young carers and contributed his expertise to the Fostering Panel, right up until his official retirement in 2023. His wealth of experience and calm, thoughtful approach make him a trusted voice on the Muirhead Board of Trustees.

​

But don’t let the word “retired” fool you—Roy is full of energy and always on the go! Whether he’s entertaining the younger members of his family or taking part in his favourite Muirhead event, the Rainbow Run, Roy brings joy, humour, and heart to everything he does.

​

Roy is a steady hand, a wise guide, and a true believer in the power of community. We’re lucky to have him on our team.
